Hikmah khitan bagi semua manusia yang melaksanakannya

Chlamydia is the most common sexually transmitted infection, affecting between three and four million men and women in the United States annually. Caused by the bacterium Chlamydia trachomatis, in men chlamydia can produce a discharge from the penis, pain during urination, and swelling in the testes; in women the infection may cause a yellowish vaginal discharge or vaginal bleeding. But in most cases there are no symptoms in infected women and they may unknowingly spread the disease. The infection can be successfully treated with oral antibiotics.

Belajar Sepanjang Hayat

Thalabul 'ilmi fariidlatun ...... (Al Hadist) Minal mahdi ilal lahdi  ======> Life long Learning (UNESCO)
Enrollment has similarly increased in adult education programs, which are usually defined as part-time study not directed toward a degree. Adult education programs vary substantially. Millions of adults enroll in such programs for job-related reasons, often because companies provide incentives for employees to upgrade skills through training. Many adults also attend school to pursue personal interests and hobbies. A growing number of older and relatively affluent people has created a new market for travel, reading, and other kinds of self development. Many institutions of higher education have developed part-time, evening, and summer programs to tap the nontraditional adult market more aggressively.

AVICENNA (IBNU SINA)

Avicenna (Arabic, Abu Ali al-Husayn ibn Abd Allah ibn Sina) (980-1037), Iranian Islamic philosopher and physician, born near Bukhara (now in Uzbekistan). The son of a government official, Avicenna studied medicine and philosophy in Bukhara. At the age of 18 he was rewarded for his medical abilities with the post of court physician to the Samanid ruler of Bukhara. He remained in this position until the fall of the Samanid Empire in 999. After that he traveled and lectured on astronomy and logic at Jurjan, near the Caspian Sea. He spent the last 14 years of his life as scientific adviser and physician to the ruler of Eşfahān (Isfahan).

Regarded by Muslims as one of the greatest Islamic philosophers, Avicenna is an important figure in the fields of medicine and philosophy. His work The Canon of Medicine was long preeminent in the Middle East and in Europe as a textbook. It is significant as a systematic classification and summary of medical and pharmaceutical knowledge up to and including Avicenna's time. The first Latin translation of the work was made in the 12th century, the Hebrew version appeared in 1491, and the Arabic text in 1593, the second text ever printed in Arabic.

Avicenna's best-known philosophical work is Kitab ash-Shifa (Book of Healing), a collection of treatises on Aristotelian logic, metaphysics, psychology, the natural sciences, and other subjects. Avicenna's own philosophy was based on a combination of Aristotelianism and Neoplatonism. Contrary to orthodox Islamic thought, Avicenna denied personal immortality, God's interest in individuals, and the creation of the world in time. Because of his views, Avicenna became the main target of an attack on such philosophy by the Islamic philosopher al-Ghazali. Nevertheless, Avicenna's philosophy remained influential throughout the Middle Ages.
Although the major writings on Arab music appeared after the spread of Islam in the beginning of the 7th century, the music tradition had already begun. Before the spread of Islam, Arab music incorporated music traditions of the Sassanid dynasty (224-651) in Persia and the early Byzantine empire (4th century to 6th century) and of sung poetry from the Arabian Peninsula. Arabic-speaking scholars also studied the treatises of ancient Greek philosophers on music. Music theorists of the 10th century and 11th century, such as al-Farabi and Avicenna, produced their own theories of music based on what they had learned from the Greeks and on the music of their own times. Greek works translated by the Arab scholars were later studied by European scientists and philosophers.

AL GEBRA (AL JAbr)

The word algebra comes from the Arabic al-jabr, meaning restoration. During the 9th century Islamic mathematicians systemized algebra, which they called the science of restoration and balancing. Algebraic techniques, however, have been employed to solve simple equations for thousands of years.
Ancient civilizations wrote out algebraic expressions using only occasional abbreviations. These longhand notations were cumbersome. The exponent x6, for example, required notation equivalent to x · x · x · x · x · x. By medieval times Islamic mathematicians were able to talk about arbitrarily high powers of the unknown variable x, and work out the basic algebra of polynomials (although they did not yet use modern symbolism). This included the ability to multiply, divide, and find square roots of polynomials as well as knowledge of the binomial theorem, which describes how to raise a binomial to an arbitrarily high power. Persian mathematician, astronomer, and poet Omar Khayyam showed how to express roots of cubic equations using line segments obtained by intersecting conic sections, but he could not find a formula for the roots. A Latin translation of al-Khwārizmī's algebra text appeared in the 12th century. In the early 13th century, the great Italian mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci achieved a close approximation to the solution of the specific cubic equation x3 + 2x2 + cx = d. Because Fibonacci had traveled in Islamic lands, he probably used an Arabic method of successive approximations to reach his solution.

Mengenal Tokoh : ALCHEMY

Alchemy, ancient art practiced especially in the Middle Ages, devoted chiefly to discovering a substance that would transmute the more common metals into gold or silver and to finding a means of indefinitely prolonging human life. Although its purposes and techniques were dubious and often illusory, alchemy was in many ways the predecessor of modern science, especially the science of chemistry.

Alchemy Workshop
This caricature illustrates an alchemist’s workshop of the 17th century, poking fun at the quest for a “philosopher’s stone” by which ordinary metals could be turned into gold. Here, the alchemists eagerly watch an experiment while working bellows to work up the fire. Although drawings like this one reveal a certain amount of disdain for the art, alchemy played an important role in the development of science. Transmuting metals became possible in the 20th century by bombarding them with neutrons.Encarta EncyclopediaJ. L. Charmet/Science Source/Photo Researchers, Inc.

Landasan Histori Sistem Angka yang Mendunia Saat ini.

The system of number symbols created by the Romans had the merit of expressing all numbers from 1 to 1,000,000 with a total of seven symbols: I for 1, V for 5, X for 10, L for 50, C for 100, D for 500, and M for 1000. Roman numerals are read from left to right. The symbols representing the largest quantities are placed at the left; immediately to the right of those are the symbols representing the next largest quantities, and so on. The symbols are usually added together. For example, LX = 60, and MMCIII = 2103. When a numeral is smaller than the numeral to the right, however, the numeral on the left should be subtracted from the numeral on the right. For instance, XIV = 14 and IX = 9. represents 1,000,000—a small bar placed over the numeral multiplies the numeral by 1000. Thus, theoretically, it is possible, by using an infinite number of bars, to express the numbers from 1 to infinity. In practice, however, one bar is usually used; two are rarely used, and more than two are almost never used. Roman numerals are still used today, more than 2000 years after their introduction. The Roman system's one drawback, however, is that it is not suitable for rapid written calculations.
The common system of number notation in use in most parts of the world today is the Arabic system. This system was first developed by the Hindus and was in use in India in the 3rd century bc. At that time the numerals 1, 4, and 6 were written in substantially the same form used today.

Relevansi Alquran dan Penciptaan Malaikat

Scientists have defined the speed of light in a vacuum to be exactly 299,792,458 meters per second (about 186,000 miles per second).
A vacuum can also be described as a region of space where the pressure is less than the normal atmospheric pressure of 760 mm (29.9 in) of mercury.
Earth Facts and Figures : Equatorial radius 6,378 km ; Equatorial inclination 23.5° ; Mass 5.97×1024 kg ; Average density 5.5 g/cm3 ; Rotational period 0.997 days ; Orbital period 1 year ; Average distance from the Sun 149.6 million km ; Moons 1

There are two types of immunity: innate and adaptive.
"Adaptive immune responses are actually reactions of the immune system to structures on the surface of the invading organism called antigens.
Antigen, any substance that evokes the production of an antibody when introduced into the body of an animal. Antigens can enter the body through the respiratory tract, digestive tract, skin, or blood vessels. The most common antigens are proteins such as those found in bacteria and viruses. See also Allergy."
